I just came back from a trip through the Raromatai or Leeward islands on the ship Hawaiiki Nui




the RAROMATAI is composed of four main islands: Huahine, Raiatea, Tahaa and Bora Bora.

Each one of them has its own story, and is a story of its own.

Recognizing Bora Bora Mount Temanu's famous outline merging progressivly above the horizon, until the whole island is visible and slowly being outlined by turquoise waters, is so magic and incredibly beautiful, that it is a must to discover it this way








You may want to sail as I did on the schooner HAWAIKI NUI or any of the other schooners sailing that direction.



you will be traveling with locals islanders and backpack tourists, sleeping outside on top of the schooner and watching the starry sky and falling stars as you fall asleep



you might encounter dolphins, whales and birds

and fascinating people...
