Faaroa
Raiatea's river

the day was nice

we anchored in the Faaroa bay 

and took our canoe to ride the river

a man was working in his papaya grove

he didn't say anything 

but threw a few papayas into the river for us

we waved at him saying "mauruuru!" (thank you!)

he waved back

we went on, slowly, admiring chestnut trees deeping their roots into the river

and fisherman's boats taking a rest

till it was time to go back to our boat anchored in Faaroa Bay

and enjoy eating our papayas

what a beautiful day we had !
